INDIAN EQUITY MARKET OUTLOOK-30 Dec 2013

INDIAN BENCHMARKS open on a flat note, as inflows from foreign institutional investors are expected to continue despite the US Federal Reserve starting to withdraw its stimulus programme from January 1. The April-November fiscal deficit reading is due tomorrow.  

FURTHER, The government has given nod to ONGC proposal to offer 10% equity stake to Bangladesh in ONGC Tripura Power Company. Adani Power board approves demerger of transmission line business of the Company to its wholly owned subsidiary company subject to requisite approvals.

Trend in FII flows: The FIIs were net buyers of Rs. 295cr in the cash segment on Friday while the domestic institutional investors (DIIs) were net sellers of Rs. 159cr, as per the provisional figures released by the NSE.
